Core material system

01 · BINDER

HTPB

Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene

A viscous liquid polymer serving as the binder and fuel matrix. In the qualified cured system it provides a tough, flexible structure that binds the solid ingredients and supports grain integrity.

02 · OXIDIZER

Ammonium Perchlorate

Primary inorganic oxidizer

A white crystalline salt that provides the oxidizing function within the composite system. Programme-specific particle profiles support the required qualified ballistic characteristics.

03 · METALLIC FUEL

Aluminium Powder

Energy and performance contributor

A fine metallic fuel incorporated to increase the energy contribution of the qualified propellant system and support programme-specific performance objectives.
