Sensor and tracking architecture

The trailer-mounted system combines a 3D search radar with an integrated tracking platform containing tracking radar and electro-optical sensors. Selected tracks are transferred to the tracking platform for automatic precision tracking.

Sensor information is consolidated into a local air picture for operator awareness, threat evaluation and coordinated effector assignment. The system can also coordinate with higher-echelon command-and-control units.

Threat evaluation and weapon assignment

CAELOR FC-3D evaluates detected tracks and supports assignment of a suitable connected air-defence weapon. It is designed to control both gun-based very-short-range and missile-launching short-range effectors from a common mobile node.

Final engagement authority, automation level and rules-of-engagement implementation are configured for the customer’s command structure and applicable operational doctrine.
