We are seeking an Ammunition Design Manager to lead the development processes for various types of ammunition. Job Description:
As the Ammunition Design Manager, you will oversee the design and modification of ammunition products. You will lead the development processes, ensuring alignment and collaboration between design departments in both the Netherlands and the United States. Regular coordination with your counterpart at TNO will be essential. You will implement strict configuration management practices and ensure proper documentation for patent applications. Additionally, you will organize testing sessions to evaluate the performance of new ammunition types. This is a challenging position in a dynamic environment, offering the opportunity to shape the future of ammunition design.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Direct and support design teams in the Netherlands and the United States, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Configuration Management: Implement and maintain strict configuration management practices to ensure product integrity and compliance.
- Patent Documentation: Ensure proper documentation and filing of patents related to new ammunition designs and modifications.
- Development Oversight: Lead the development processes for various types of ammunition, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Testing Coordination: Organize and oversee testing sessions to evaluate the functionality and performance of new ammunition types, analyzing results for continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Academic degree (Bachelor’s level) in Engineering, Materials Science, Defence Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is a plus, an MBA would be preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in ammunition design, product development, or a related field, preferably within the defence industry and including a management role.
- Language: Excellent proficiency in English is essential, while fluency in Dutch is considered an advantage.
- Security: Mandatory Dutch background check (VOG).
