Job Description:
As a Design Engineer at AIA, you will play a crucial role in designing innovative and effective solutions for military applications. You will have a strong affinity for military operations and understand the key requirements for successful design. Your skills will encompass both construction and design perspectives, ensuring that our products not only function optimally but also have an appealing aesthetic. If you appreciate the designs of iconic brands like Lamborghini and Apple, you will resonate with our vision.
Responsibilities:
- Product Design: Create innovative designs for ammunition, drones, and personal protective equipment that meet operational requirements and aesthetic standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and military experts to ensure designs are feasible and practical for end users.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform design decisions and ensure products are competitive.
- Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate design concepts and ensure functionality and reliability.
- Design Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, including specifications and revisions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Academic degree (Bachelor’s level) in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience: Professional experience in product design or engineering would be a plus, but is not mandatory. This position is open to all experience levels and will be rewarded accordingly. Hobbyist experience with drone (design or building) is a big plus!
- Language: Excellent proficiency in English is essential, while fluency in Dutch is considered an advantage.
- Security: Mandatory Dutch background check (VOG).
